Stella Jaffe earned the Colonial Women’s Golf Conference Golfer of the Week award after setting Salisbury records at the Bridgewater Invitational.
Stella Jaffe sets Salisbury University records
Jaffe finished fourth among 57 competitors after shooting a one-over-par 74 in the first round and a seven-over-par 80 in the second round. Her two-round score of eight-over 154 broke the Salisbury program tournament record of 155 that she set at her first tournament earlier in September.
Her 74 established a new Salisbury single-round record and was two strokes better than her previous program low. The 154 total finished three strokes behind the tournament winner and gave Jaffe a top-five finish in each of her first two events.
Jaffe continues strong start
The freshman is averaging 77.3 strokes through four competitive rounds across two events. All four rounds rank among the 10 best by a Salisbury woman since golf returned as a varsity sport in fall 2024.
Jaffe’s selection marks the third time in the two-year history of the Colonial Women’s Golf Conference (CWGC), the league in which Salisbury competes, that the Sea Gulls have received a weekly league honor. Krista Brosius earned one conference honor in fall 2025 and another in spring 2026.
What comes next for Salisbury women’s golf
Salisbury will compete in the Alvernia Fall Invitational on Oct. 5-6, 2026, at Bulle Rock Golf Club in Havre de Grace, Maryland.
