Notre Dame of Maryland University Gators begin United East Conference play during the week of September 21-27, 2026, with conference openers scheduled in women’s soccer, women’s volleyball and men’s soccer. Notre Dame of Maryland University women’s soccer was scheduled to host Saint Vincent Tuesday at 4 p.m. at the Turf Field Sponsored by the SSNDs. The Gators then were scheduled to open United East Conference play Saturday at Penn State Harrisburg at 1 p.m. in Middletown, Pennsylvania.
The Gators entered the week with a 2-4 overall record after defeating Penn State Schuylkill 5-0 and losing to Susquehanna 2-0 during the previous week. Alex Busick scored twice against Penn State Schuylkill, while Taylor Edwards recorded one goal and one assist.
Ava Tippett and Adrienne Villa also scored in the victory over Penn State Schuylkill.
Women’s volleyball has four matches scheduled
Notre Dame of Maryland University women’s volleyball entered the week with a 4-5 record after going 2-1 during the previous week. The Gators were scheduled to host Goucher Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the MBK Sports Complex.
The team then was scheduled to play Christopher Newport at 5:30 p.m. and Stevenson at 7 p.m. Friday in a Stevenson tri-match. United East Conference play was scheduled to begin Saturday against Wilson, with the Gators hosting the match at 1 p.m. at the MBK Sports Complex.
Kaliyah Brown led the Gators with 3.65 kills per set and had recorded four double-doubles during the season. Bryanna Carter averaged 3.16 kills per set, while Oliviya Rodriguez averaged 6.09 assists per set and recorded 49 assists against PSU York.
Izzy Stewart led the team with averages of 3.5 digs and 0.78 aces per set. The Gators had won their previous four matches against Goucher and were 6-0 against Wilson, with all six wins over Wilson coming in straight sets.
Men’s soccer travels to Penn State Harrisburg
Notre Dame of Maryland University men’s soccer was scheduled to play at Penn State Harrisburg Saturday at 4 p.m. in Middletown, Pennsylvania. The Gators entered the week with a 1-2-2 record after non-conference play.
Notre Dame of Maryland University played Stockton to a scoreless draw during the previous week before losing to Stevenson 1-0. Athanasios Ziliaskopolous led the team with two goals and one assist, while David Von Mentlen recorded a shutout in 135 minutes and made 12 saves during the week.
Cross country heads to Purple & Gold Open
Notre Dame of Maryland University cross country was scheduled to compete Saturday at the Purple & Gold Open in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The team opened its season at the Abington Invitational and finished sixth overall.
Rebecca Coleman led the team at the Abington Invitational, placing 21st with a time of 33:03.06.
