Bradfield’s second stolen base of the game gave him 35 for the season and surpassed Julio Borbón’s previous affiliate record of 34, set in 2014. Bradfield added another steal to finish with 36 for the season.
Bradfield’s total is tied with La Chelle Tarver’s 36 stolen bases from 1984 for 10th most in franchise history. The three-steal performance came as the Tides tried to overcome an early deficit against Charlotte.
Charlotte Knights Hold Off Norfolk Tides
The Charlotte Knights built a 9-3 lead early in the game. Norfolk began to cut into the deficit behind a solo home run from Bryan Ramos and a two-run homer by Sam Huff.
Ramos hit his sixth home run of the season, while Huff recorded his seventh. The Tides could not complete the comeback and fell to 30-41 and 58-88, while the Knights moved to 38-35 and 80-68.
