Notre Dame of Maryland University women’s soccer lost 2-0 to Susquehanna on Sept. 18 at Turf Field Sponsored by the SSNDs in Baltimore after the visitors scored twice in a four-minute span. The match was scoreless at halftime before Susquehanna scored three minutes apart in the second half.
Susquehanna Scores Twice After Halftime
Madeline Osman scored Susquehanna’s first goal, with Liv Baczor providing the assist. Baczor then scored the second goal as the River Hawks secured the win.
Susquehanna attempted 28 shots, including nine on target, while Notre Dame of Maryland attempted three shots. Susquehanna also earned 13 corner kicks, all after halftime, while Notre Dame of Maryland recorded two corner kicks, not zero as previously stated.
Leah Hasberry Records Seven Saves
Notre Dame of Maryland goalkeeper Leah Hasberry, a senior Biology major, made seven saves in the loss. The Gators held Susquehanna scoreless through the opening half before the visitors converted their opportunities after the break.
Notre Dame of Maryland is 2-4, while Susquehanna is 6-1-0. Notre Dame of Maryland closes nonconference play Tuesday by hosting Saint Vincent.
