Goucher College women’s soccer team earned its first win of the season with a 3-0 victory over Wilson College on September 17, 2026, in Chambersburg, Pa. First-year player Ari Torres scored all three goals as Goucher improved to 1-3-0 overall, while Wilson fell to 0-5-1.
Torres Scores Three Goals
Torres opened the scoring at 4:51 of the first half off an assist from Abby Lee. Goucher carried the 1-0 lead into halftime after Nia George made three saves during a four-minute stretch to keep Wilson off the scoreboard.
Torres added her second goal at 66:41 and completed the hat trick at 67:46. She led Goucher with five shots, while Jasmine Haskell recorded three.
Goucher Preserves the Shutout
Wilson outshot Goucher 19-12 and held a 6-0 advantage in corner kicks. Goucher put nine shots on goal compared with eight for Wilson.
George made all eight of Goucher’s saves while playing 87:38 in goal. Olivia Oakes played the final 2:22, while Madison Ybarra, Michelle Ruano-Campos, Taylor Acres and Ashley Schwartz helped limit Wilson’s chances.
