Coppin State University men’s track and field will compete in eight meets across the East Coast and Midwest during the 2026-27 indoor season, head track and field coach Carl Hicks announced Sept. 17, 2026. The schedule includes the MEAC Indoor Championships and three additional championship meets.
The season begins Dec. 5 at the Youree Spence-Garcia Invitational, hosted by St. John’s at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, New York. After the holiday break, Coppin State returns to competition Jan. 8 at the VCU Ram Indoor Invite in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

The HBCU Showcase Presented by Nike Running follows Jan. 16 at The Armory in New York. January concludes with the Penn State National Open, scheduled for Jan. 30-31.

Championship Meets Highlight Final Stretch
Championship competition begins with the ECAC/IC4A Indoor Track & Field Championships on Feb. 6-7 at the BU Track & Tennis Center in Boston. The schedule then moves to Virginia Beach for the MEAC Indoor Championships on Feb. 21-22 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center.
March features the HBCU Indoor Track & Field Championship on March 5 at the Norton Healthcare Sports & Learning Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The indoor season is slated to conclude with the NCAA Indoor Championships on March 12-13 at the Randal Tyson Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
