Frostburg State University Men’s Soccer Team Shuts Out West Liberty, 3-0

The Frostburg State Men’s Soccer Team defeated West Liberty, 3-0, on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, in Frostburg, Maryland. Lynghton Romage, Frank Stare, and Inzaghi Harmon scored for Frostburg State, which led 1-0 at halftime before adding two goals in the second half.

The victory improved Frostburg State to 4-0-2, while West Liberty fell to 4-1. Frostburg State finished with a 19-14 advantage in shots and a 6-5 edge in shots on goal.

Lynghton Romage Gives Frostburg State the Lead

Brian Gomez initiated the sequence for Frostburg State’s opening goal with a throw-in. Abdallah Soulemana’s header was blocked, but Lynghton Romage reacted first and sent the ball past West Liberty goalkeeper Shai’ya Fitzgerald.

West Liberty had an opportunity to respond after a foul outside the area produced a free kick. Frostburg State goalkeeper Josiah Emerson made the save, and the Bobcats carried their lead into halftime.

Frank Stare and Inzaghi Harmon Score After Halftime

Frostburg State opened the second half with five shots in six minutes. Dom Good and Spencer Davis recorded the first two attempts from near-side corner sequences, followed by three chances from Abdallah Soulemana after the attack shifted to the opposite corner.

Near the 65th minute, Mateo Cuadros played a ball through to Frank Stare. Stare cut inside and finished beneath Fitzgerald to extend Frostburg State’s advantage to 2-0.

Inzaghi Harmon later scored Frostburg State’s third goal after Tristan Ruble cleared the ball into his path. Harmon carried the ball into the West Liberty penalty area before sliding a shot past Fitzgerald.

Josiah Emerson Preserves the Shutout

Emerson made a save on a West Liberty free kick and later stopped a shot by Alec Aceves after Aceves met an inswinging corner. Emerson also parried away an effort from Leyton Collier as West Liberty remained scoreless.

David Williams had two late chances for Frostburg State. He lifted his first attempt over the crossbar before sending his next shot directly at Fitzgerald to close the 3-0 result.

Frostburg State Men’s Soccer Team Scheduled for Point Park Match

Frostburg State is scheduled to play at Point Park on Sunday, September 20, 2026. The match is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. at Duquesne University.
