Minor League Baseball named Frederick Keys manager Collin Woody the 2026 South Atlantic League Manager of the Year on Sept. 16, 2026, after he led the club to an 83-46 regular-season record. The Frederick Keys posted a 64.3% winning percentage, the best mark in affiliated Minor League Baseball.
Woody led the Frederick Keys to the most regular-season wins in franchise history, along with both the first- and second-half South Atlantic League titles. The club also reached the playoffs for the first time since 2017.
Collin Woody Leads Frederick Keys to Historic Season
Woody became the first Frederick Keys manager to win a league award since Pete Mackanin was named Carolina League Manager of the Year in 1993. He also became the first outright Frederick Keys winner of the award since Wally Moon in 1990.
Before managing the Keys, Woody managed the Single-A Delmarva Shorebirds for two seasons. The Baltimore Orioles drafted him in the 38th round of the 2016 MLB Draft, and he played 79 games for the Frederick Keys in 2018, hitting 10 home runs and recording 33 RBIs.
Enddy Azocar and Braeden Sloan Earn All-Star Honors
Frederick also placed two players on the 2026 South Atlantic League All-Star team. Outfielder Enddy Azocar hit .327 with three home runs and 23 RBIs in 25 games for the Frederick Keys.
Left-handed relief pitcher Braeden Sloan finished the season with a 1.55 ERA in 33 games and 46.1 innings. He posted a 5-0 record, recorded four saves and struck out 60 batters while holding opposing hitters to a .142 batting average.
Frederick Keys Set 2027 Opening Date
The Frederick Keys are scheduled to begin the 2027 season Friday, April 2, by hosting the Brooklyn Cyclones (Mets) in Frederick, Maryland. Game times and ticket information will be released at a later date.
