The University of Maryland Eastern Shore women’s golf team finished seventh at the Battle at Quail Valley in Littlestown, Pennsylvania, with Pearl Omaruaye leading the Hawks with a three-round total of 237.
The Battle at Quail Valley marked the Hawks’ third tournament of the fall season. The University of Maryland Eastern Shore opened with a team score of 309, its best team round of the fall, before recording a 319 in the second round and finishing with a tournament total of 952.
Pearl Omaruaye Leads University of Maryland Eastern Shore Women’s Golf
Omaruaye shot 76 in the opening round, 78 in the second round and 83 in the final round. Her three-day total of 237 made her the Hawks’ low scorer at the tournament.
Alysa Davis and Sydney Raines each opened with a 76. Davis followed with an 85 in the second round and led the Hawks in the final round with a 79, while Raines shot an 83 in the third round.
Bushra Fatima recorded rounds of 81, 76 and 81. Tinyan Liu posted scores of 81, 80 and 81, while Charlene Pak shot an 83 in the final round.
Seton Hall Wins Battle at Quail Valley
Seton Hall won the team title with a score of 889. Marta Aguilar of Seton Hall captured the individual title with a one-over score of 217.
The Hawks are scheduled to return to competition Sept. 28 at the Stonehill College Invitational in Hillside, New York.
