Mount St. Mary’s University Men’s Water Polo Splits Princeton Invitational as Luka Urosevic Scores Five Goals

Mount St. Mary’s men’s water polo split its final day of away games at the Princeton Invitational on Sept. 13, 2026, defeating Iona 17-16 before losing to Princeton 18-5 in Princeton, New Jersey. The Mountaineers moved to 3-4 for the season.

Mount St. Mary’s Men’s Water Polo Edges Iona

Luka Urosevic scored five goals in the win over Iona, including four in the first half and one after halftime. Aaron Tarr added three goals to complete a hat trick, while Giannis Skliras, Jack Fox, Aleksandar Radosavljevic and Nathan Valentine each scored twice.

Neven Cerkez scored the winning goal in the 17-16 victory. Tarr recorded three assists, while Radosavljevic and Cerkez added two assists apiece. Nikos Agritelis, Fox, Giacomo Graff, Will Matthews and Urosevic each had one assist.

Ivan Morales recorded one save in the first half before Linc Smith made seven saves after halftime. Mount St. Mary’s trailed 12-11 at halftime but outscored Iona 6-4 in the second half to secure the win.

Princeton Pulls Away From the Mountaineers

Mount St. Mary’s was held scoreless in the first quarter against Princeton and trailed 10-2 at halftime. Aleksandar Radosavljevic and Urosevic scored the Mountaineers’ first-half goals.

Giacomo Graff scored his first collegiate goal in the third quarter. Nick Harper and Max Economy added goals in the fourth quarter, while Linc Smith recorded three saves in the 18-5 loss. Nathan Valentine, Ivan Morales and Giannis Skliras each recorded one assist.

Mount St. Mary’s men’s water polo was scheduled to travel to Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, for the Bucknell Invite. The Mountaineers were scheduled to play two games Saturday, Sept. 19, and one game Sunday, Sept. 20.
