Notre Dame of Maryland University Gators will host five home events on campus from Wednesday, September 9, through Saturday, September 12, highlighted by Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day on Wednesday. The schedule includes women’s soccer, men’s soccer and women’s volleyball events at the Turf Field and MBK Sports Complex.
Wednesday Schedule Highlights
Faculty and Staff Appreciation Day will feature three home events Wednesday. The Notre Dame of Maryland University women’s soccer team will host Marymount at 2:30 p.m. at the Turf Field, followed by men’s soccer against Carlow at 5:30 p.m. Women’s volleyball will close the day against McDaniel at 7 p.m. in the MBK Sports Complex.
The women’s soccer team opened the 2026 season with a 3-1 loss to Widener before earning a 2-1 win over Goucher. Taylor Edwards scored the Gators’ first goal of 2026 against Widener, while Alex Busick opened the scoring against Goucher before freshman Ava Tippett scored her first collegiate goal late in the second half.
Senior Leah Hasberry has recorded 19 saves through the first two matches, ranking second in the United East Conference. Hasberry has 428 career saves and is approaching Notre Dame of Maryland University’s all-time saves record.
Notre Dame of Maryland University is 0-3 all-time against Marymount, with the last matchup occurring in 2023. The Gators’ men’s soccer team opened the season with a 2-2 draw against Goucher, and Wednesday’s match against Carlow will be the first meeting between the teams.
Athanasios Ziliaskopolous assisted Maxime Baux on Notre Dame of Maryland University’s first goal against Goucher. Ziliaskopolous also drew and converted a penalty kick for the Gators’ second goal.
Women’s volleyball opened the season with a 1-2 record. Oliviya Rodriguez ranks third in the conference with six assists per set, Kaliyah Brown ranks fifth with 3.56 kills per set and third with 4.22 points per set, and Elena Aungst ranks second in the league with 1.13 aces per set after recording nine aces against Hood.
McDaniel is 3-0 this season after wins over Hood, Susquehanna and Rutgers-Newark. Notre Dame of Maryland University is 2-6 all-time against McDaniel, with the Gators winning last season’s meeting 3-1.
Weekend Schedule
Notre Dame of Maryland University will host two additional home events Saturday at the Turf Field. Men’s soccer will face Methodist at 1 p.m., and women’s soccer will host Immaculata at 4 p.m.; both events are sponsored by the SSNDs.
The men’s soccer matchup against Methodist will be the first meeting between the teams. Immaculata is 0-1 this season, and the Mighty Macs have won eight of the nine all-time matches against Notre Dame of Maryland University.
Women’s volleyball will compete at the Messiah Tri-Match on Saturday, facing Lackawanna at 1:30 p.m. and Messiah at 4:30 p.m. Lackawanna is 0-2 this season while transitioning from NJCAA to Division II, while Messiah is 3-1 with wins over Buffalo State, Olivet and Lycoming.
