Frostburg State University women’s volleyball fell 3-0 to Shippensburg in the Bobcat Invitational finale on September 5, 2026, in Frostburg, Md. The Bobcats opened strong but ultimately lost the sets 25-22, 25-15 and 25-18.
Shippensburg Completes the Sweep
Frostburg State, also known as the Bobcats, opened the first set with a 5-0 lead and later held a 21-20 advantage. Shippensburg then scored five of the final six points to take the set 25-22, before building an early lead in the second set and winning 25-15.
In the third set, the Bobcats led 11-9, but Shippensburg responded with a 7-2 run. After Frostburg State tied the set at 15, Shippensburg scored six straight points to win 25-18 and complete the sweep.
