Maryland Sports Blog Take

D.C. United enters the matchup after limiting Los Angeles FC to one shot on target in a scoreless draw. Johnson’s five shutouts and D.C. United’s unbeaten record when keeping a clean sheet make the defensive matchup an important part of the club’s visit to Cincinnati.

FC Cincinnati has 31 points and ranks sixth in the Eastern Conference, but D.C. United has lost only once in eight all-time visits to Cincinnati. Baribo’s scoring history against FC Cincinnati also gives D.C. United an established attacking storyline as the clubs meet for the first time in the 2026 regular season.
