Frostburg State Women’s Soccer Opens Mountain East Conference With 2-1 Win Over Davis & Elkins

Frostburg State Women’s Soccer opened its Mountain East Conference schedule with a 2-1 home victory over Davis & Elkins on Sept. 3, 2026, in Frostburg, Md. The Bobcats improved to 2-0, while Davis & Elkins fell to 1-1-1. Frostburg State held a 16-6 advantage in shots and a 9-3 edge in shots on goal.

Cassidy Paige Puts Frostburg State Ahead

Cassidy Paige scored from 25 yards on an assist from Rayiah Davis to give Frostburg State a 1-0 lead. Davis & Elkins answered 90 seconds later when Anne-Sofie Kaiser headed in a corner from Sophia Brown.

The teams entered halftime tied at 1-1. Frostburg State created additional chances during the opening half and finished the match with nine shots on goal.

Frostburg State regained the lead within the first five minutes of the second half. Madison Hobson and Madison Hinton assisted Mollie Rebuck on the decisive goal, which gave the Bobcats a 2-1 advantage.
