LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. (June 3, 2026) — The Norfolk Tides fell 6-4 to the Gwinnett Stripers on Tuesday night at Gwinnett Field in Lawrenceville, Georgia, in the opener of their road trip. Norfolk entered the game with a 22-36 record, while Gwinnett began at 30-28.
Creed Willems Hits 12th Home Run
Creed Willems went 2-for-4 and hit his 12th home run of the season. He has homered in three of his previous four games.
Luis Vázquez made his first appearance of the season with the Norfolk Tides after being activated off the injured list. He went 2-for-4 and hit his first home run of the season.
Heston Kjerstad Extends Hitting Streak
Heston Kjerstad went 2-for-4 with a double and extended his hitting streak to eight games. While the Tides launched two home runs, they could not keep pace with the Gwinnett Stripers.
