Frederick Keys Fall 1-0 to Wilmington Blue Rocks in Game Six

In Game Six, the Frederick Keys fell 1-0 to the Wilmington Blue Rocks on Aug. 22 at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium in Wilmington, Delaware. Wilmington scored the only run in the bottom of the fourth inning, and the Keys remained within one run into the final frame.

Twine Palmer recorded a 1-2-3 inning in the bottom of the first, throwing only five pitches. He also struck out the last batter he faced in the bottom of the third inning.

Wilmington Scores on Stolen Base at Home

The Wilmington Blue Rocks brought home the only run of the game on a stolen base at home in the bottom of the fourth inning. That run gave Wilmington a 1-0 lead, which held through the remaining innings.

Carson Dorsey left two runners on base in the bottom of the sixth inning. He later threw a scoreless bottom of the eighth inning in 1-2-3 fashion, sending the Keys to the ninth while trailing by one run.

Frederick Keys Put Tying Run on Base

The Frederick Keys put the tying run on base in the top of the ninth inning, but Wilmington kept Frederick scoreless in the final frame. The loss came in the sixth game of the seven-game series.

The Frederick Keys and Wilmington Blue Rocks are scheduled to meet Sunday afternoon in the series finale. First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. at Daniel S. Frawley Stadium.
