The Notre Dame of Maryland University Men’s Soccer team earned recognition from United Soccer Coaches with the College Team Academic Award after finishing the 2025-26 academic year with a 3.53 team GPA, surpassing the award’s minimum 3.0 requirement. The announcement was made on Aug. 14, 2026.
Notre Dame of Maryland Men’s Soccer Meets Award Standard
Teams must maintain a team GPA above 3.0 for the academic year to qualify for the College Team Academic Award. The Gators exceeded that standard by a wide margin with their 3.53 team GPA.
Notre Dame of Maryland was one of six soccer programs, and one of two men’s soccer programs in the United East Conference, to earn the recognition.
Gators Open 2026 Season Sept. 1
The Gators are scheduled to open the 2026 season Sept. 1 against Washington Adventist in Tacoma Park. Notre Dame of Maryland’s home opener is slated for Sept. 5 against Goucher at 1 p.m.
