The McDaniel College men’s baseball team received the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Award for the fourth straight year, the college announced on July 22, 2026, in Greensboro, N.C.
To qualify for this honor, ABCA member baseball teams must achieve a cumulative grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher during the academic year. For the 2025-26 academic year, the Green Terror posted a team GPA of 3.026, meeting the established criteria for this distinguished recognition.
Recognition for Sustained Academic Achievement
This award, now in its 10th year of presentation, recognizes teams at various levels of high school and collegiate baseball nationwide for outstanding academic accomplishments. McDaniel College’s baseball program has maintained this standard for four consecutive years, demonstrating a sustained commitment to academic excellence alongside athletic competition.
