Salisbury University Women’s Lacrosse Named 2026 IWLCA Academic Honor Squad with 11 Players on Division III Honor Roll

The Salisbury University women’s lacrosse team was recognized as a 2026 Academic Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), highlighting their academic excellence during the season. In addition, 11 Salisbury student-athletes were named to the Division III Honor Roll for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher as juniors, seniors, or graduate students.

Academic Excellence Across NCAA Divisions

Salisbury was one of 357 teams across NCAA Divisions I, II, and III and the NAIA to receive this honor. To earn the Academic Honor Squad distinction, teams must maintain a minimum team GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale. This marks the second consecutive year the Salisbury women’s lacrosse program has placed 10 or more players on the Honor Roll, following 14 honorees last year.

Individual Recognitions

The 11 Salisbury players honored on the Division III Honor Roll are graduate student Mackenzie Demaio; seniors Audrey Harrington, Grace Doy, Lauren Wunder, Miranda Mears, Paige Ellis, Rachel Johnson, and Reagan Davis; and juniors Jaclyn Bange, Maddyn McAnaney, and Regan McDonnell. These student-athletes joined 1,350 peers from 174 institutions recognized for their academic achievement in the 2026 season.

Strong Athletic Performance Complements Academic Success

The Sea Gulls compiled a 20-1 record during the 2026 season, advancing to their third NCAA Division III Final Four in the past six years. Their postseason victories included wins over Union College, York College of Pennsylvania, and Christopher Newport University before a narrow 6-5 semifinal loss to Wesleyan University in Rochester, New York.
