The Baltimore Ravens activated outside linebacker Matthew Judon to active 53-man just two days after placing him and six other defenders on the Reserve/COVID-19 List.
All seven of the defensive players were placed on the list because they were deemed high risk through contact tracing since they were in close proximity to cornerback Marlon Humphrey who tested positive for the coronavirus on Monday.
Judon returned to practice on Thursday and was a full participant. He was ejected in the first half of the Ravens Week Eight loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers after accidentally making contact with an official while trying to pull away from a coach on the sideline during a dead-ball dust-up with some opposing players.
The Ravens placed the franchise tag on Judon this offseason and agreed to an augmented salary that pays him between the average of the tag for linebackers and defensive ends.
Through the first six and a half games of the season, he has 18 tackles, two sacks, and his 11 quarterback hits lead the team and are tied for the 15th most in the league
The other six players that are on the list are eligible to return to Saturday’s walk-through practice and travel with the team to face the Indianapolis Colts if they do not produce any positive test results.
The list includes cornerback Terrell Bonds, outside linebacker Tyus Bowser, safety DeShon Elliott, and inside linebackers Patrick Queen, L.J. Fort, and Malik Harrison.
