D.C. United fall to New England

D.C. United returned to Audi Field for the first time since March looking for a win. Instead D.C. United came up short to the New England Revolution 2-1 with a 46 minute rain delay sandwiched in between.

Gustavo Bou put the Revolution up 1-0 in the 26th minute and Teal Bunbury added a goal in the 38th minute to double their lead. 2-0 was the score at the half.

D.C. United pulled within one on a 72nd minute penalty kick by Ola Kamara after Alexander Buttner was ruled to have handled the ball in the box. That was as close as they would get as they fell 2-1.

D.C. United heads to Philadelphia to take on the Union this Saturday at 7:30.
