Navy Dominates Bucknell, 14-8, in Men’s LAX

The Navy Midshipmen defeated the Bucknell Bison, 14-8, on Saturday afternoon in men’s lacrosse action in Annapolis. The matchup was the Patriot League opener for both programs. Navy improves to 3-1 overall. Bucknell falls to 1-4 on the season.

Jumping out to an early 6-0 lead, the Midshipmen never looked back, keeping the Bison at least five-points behind the rest of the day.

As a team, Navy led Bucknell in shots (47-38) and shots on goal (27-17). In the individual stats, attackman Christian Daniel led the way for the Mids with four goals and three assists. Midfielder, Greyson Torain, was not far behind adding three goals and one assist to the winning cause. Ryan Wade, midfielder, extended his scoring streak to 28 games in a two-goal and two-assist effort.

For Bucknell, Alston Tarry, freshman attackman, had a career day, scoring four goals. Senior midfielder, Reed Malas had three assists. Jarett Witzal, also a senior midfielder, won 14 faceoffs for the Bison.
