Coming off a series-win against the Atlanta Braves, the Nationals send Erick Fedde (2-3, 5.12 ERA) to the mound to face the Marlins. In his last start, Fedde threw 5 2/3 scoreless innings against the Phillies, striking out nine.
The Marlins give the ball to Trevor Richards (3-9, 4.85 ERA). Richards has been shaky in his last seven starts after posting a 2.81 ERA from June 23 through August 8.
