The Washington Redskins have signed pro bowl running back Adrian Peterson.
Peterson is best known for his time with the Minnesota Vikings where he racked up 11,747 rushing yards over ten seconds (2007-2016), which is by far the most in Vikings history. Adrian comes off of a 2017 season in which he rushed for just a combined 529 yards in a total of ten games for the New Orleans Saints and Arizona Cardinals-both of whom he will face early on in the season (Cardinals-week 1 in Arizona, Saints-week 5 in New Orleans on Monday Night Football). Peterson will be united with fellow Sooner Trent Williams as he brings a veteran presence to the Redskins locker room, providing as a mentor to an otherwise youthful defensive backfield.
