The Washington Redskins are starting to make room for the 2018 draft picks and they start by releasing DL Terrell McClain and A.J. Francis.

McClain signed with the Redskins last offseason on a four-year, $21 million deal. The former South Florida product played one disappointing season for Washington. McClain produced 20 tackles along with two sacks wearing burgundy and gold.
McClain missed weeks 12-15 due to a toe injury.

Now, the Redskins will turn to their two rookies Da’Ron Payne and Tim Settle to step in immediately and help contribute to a run defense that finished last in 2017.
