Travis Boyd has been recalled to Washington now that the trade deadline has come and gone. Boyd has recorded 44 points (15g, 29a) in 56 games with the Hershey Bears this season. After the deadline an NHL team can hold more the 23 players on it as long as the team stays below the salary cap. Boyd now reaps the benefits and is rewarded for his play thus far in Hershey of the AHL.
