Justin Jackson Out for Season with Shoulder Injury

Mark Turgeon announced today that sophomore small forward Justin Jackson would be undergoing surgery in the near future to repair a torn labrum in his shoulder and he will miss the remainder of the season. He had been trying to play through it but as his condition worsened, he got less and less playing time, including missing the last three and a half games. Jackson was likely to be drafted this June when the NBA draft rolled around, but this injury will certainly affect that. This puts Maryland in a tough position, as many experts had them on the edge of the tournament field at best. Losing arguably its most talented player certainly won’t help that.
