Capitals Vs. Columbus Blue Jackets Recap: February 12, 2019

The Washington Capitals lost to the Columbus Blue Jackets by a score of 3-0 Tuesday. Statistically, Braden Hotbly made 29 saves for the Washington Capitals.

The Capitals stand at 31-19-7 and are currently in second place in the Metropolitan division. While on the other hand, the Blue Jackets stand at 32-20-3 and are currently in third place in the same division.

During the first period both of the teams did not score the game was 0 to 0. Towards the end of the second period forward Anthony Dunclair of the Blue Jackets scored his 11th goal of the season ( assisted by Oliver Bjorkstrand ) and also ( 21st assist by Zach Werenski) at 6 minutes and 32 seconds. During the third period, captain Nick Foligino, scored his 14th goal of the season and it was assisted by Seth Jones (28th assist of the season ) and Ryan Murray (25th of the season). The goal was scored at 16 minutes and 13 seconds in the period. Lastly, at 19 minutes and 50 seconds in the third period. Blue Jackets Artemi Pananri scored his 22 second of the season and Josh Anderson (10th assist).

With the Caps losing, they head off to the west coast to start a road trip against the San Jose Sharks on Thursday at SAP Center at San Jose.
