Trea Turner hits his second career cycle to give the Nationals blowout win 11-1 over Rockies 7/24/19

The Washington Nationals beat the Colorado Rockies Tuesday evening at Nationals Park. The Nationals record currently stands at 53-46. The Rockies drop to 47-53.

Stephen Strasburg pitched a very strong six innings for Washington. Strasburg allowed three hits and eight strikeouts while pitching. Michael Blazek allowed three hits and zero strikeouts in relief for Washington.

In the bottom of the first inning, shortstop Trea Turner homered to center (419 feet). Also, in the bottom of the first, Matt Adams singled to right center, Adam Eaton scored.

At the bottom of the sixth inning, catcher Yan Gomes singled to shallow left center, Brian Dozier scored.

Additionally, in the bottom of the seventh, first baseman Matt Adams singled to center, Anthony Rendon scored, Soto to second.

Also, in the bottom of the seventh, center fielder Victor Robles singled to left center, Juan Soto scored, Adams to third.

Furthermore, in the seventh inning, pitch hitter Gerardo Parra singled to left, Adams scored, Robles scored, and Gomes scored on throwing error by left fielder Desmond, Parra safe at third on throwing error by Desmond.

In addition, in the bottom of the seventh, Trea Turner hits his second cycle of his career by doubling to left, Parra scored.

Finally, in the bottom of the seventh, third baseman Anthony Rendon doubled to deep left, Eaton and Turner scored on throwing error by shortstop Story, Rendon safe at third on a throwing error by shortstop Story.

With a win over the Rockies, the Nationals play a doubleheader tomorrow starting at 1:05pm with Erick Fedde pitching and at 7:05pm with Patrick Corbin pitching.
