Orioles break record for most consecutive multi-home run games in MLB history

The Baltimore Orioles, who in 2019 have not had a lot of positives to show, broke a very impressive record on Saturday.

After the second home run hit by the Orioles Saturday in their game against the Angels, the O’s broke the record for the longest streak of games in MLB history, where two or more home runs have been hit in each game at 10.

Multiple bats contributed to the streak, which included Trey Mancini homering in three straight games, the first time he did that in his career.

The streak started on July 17, while the Orioles were hosting the Washington Nationals, and the streak ended at 10 games, after Saturday’s contest against the Angels.

Through out the streak, six different Orioles homered, while a few such as Trey Mancini, Renato Nunez, and Anthony Santander had multiple homers during stretch.

During the 10-game stretch, the Orioles went 7-3, thanks in part to all of those home runs.

Whether you are on a rebuilding team or a World Series contender, this streak is something to be proud of, especially when so many different players contributed.

If the 2019 Orioles can say nothing else, at least they can say they broke a major league record that seems like it will hold for a long time.
