Nationals Preview and Lineup: 7/5/19

After sweeping the Miami Marlins, the Washington Nationals will take on the Kansas City Royals in an inter-league three-game series beginning today at Nationals Park on July 5th, 2019. Yesterday, Washington picked up a 5-2 victory after Aníbal Sánchez threw six innings while surrendering one run.

Currently, the Nationals hold a 45-41 record, which is good for a tie between themselves and the Phillies for second place in the N.L. East division. On the other hand, the Royals stand at 29-59, while placed at last in the A.L. Central division. The pitching matchup for today’s game is scheduled to be RHP Austin Voth(0-0, 4.35 ERA) facing off against RHP Brad Keller(4-9, 4.63 ERA). Here’s the lineup for today’s game:
