Hershey Bears beat Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in Overtime 1-0

The Hershey Bears took on The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins last night on home ice in their final matchup of the regular season. Heading into the final matchup Hershey's record was 8-2-0-1.

The entire first sixty minutes showcased an amazing amount of talent between the pipes. Vitek Vanecek stopped seventeen Penguin shots and Tristan Jarry denied an impressive thirty eight of Hershey's attempts to get on the board.

It wouldn't be long into sudden death overtime that Garrett Pilon would earn his tenth goal of the season winning it for the Bears at 1:14 in the period.

The Bears are now back to a point streak in the past seven games. Vitek Vanecek earned his ninth shutout of his career and second of the 2018-19 season.

The Hershey Bears will be on the road this weekend for back to back matchups against The Cleveland Monsters. The first, being a 7pm puck drop on Saturday, March 23, 2019. As always, Zach Fisch makes all the calls on the Hershey Bears Network.
