Caps vs Lightning, the first of the reseeding games for the Caps.

Today, August 3rd, the Washington Capitals, play Tampa Bay in the first game of the reseeding for the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The game is a big one for the Caps, as they need the two points to start off strong. Defenseman John Carlson, is a game time decision with an injury.

Rookie, Vitek Vanecek, who was recalled from Hershey for the playoffs, is backing up Braden Holtby.

According to Tampa coach Jon Cooper, Tampa captain Steven Stamkos is not expected to play today.

With a lot of the previous playoff games from this past weekend, being very physical, look for Wilson, Dillon, and Hathaway to make their mark and be aggressive.

The game will be broadcast on NBC sports Washington, and also played on the radio at 106.7 fm.
