Caps face the Blues on the last game of a 3 game road trip, and Charlie Lindgren faces his old team.

The Washington Capitals, come to St. Louis to face the Blues, on the last game of a 3 game road trip. Charlie Lindgren is set to face his old team tonight. The Blues have been a hot team having won the previous 4 games. The Blues are on the back end of a back to back while the Capitals had a day of rest before the game.

The Capitals are a team trying to find an identity, and have been switching out players on the top 6 through the season, trying to find a working combination of players, and Aliaksei Protas looks to be promoted to the top line with Kuznetsov and Ovechkin. Connor McMichael looks to be getting a sweater as well for this game.

Charlie Lindgren is getting the start to give Darcy Kuemper a rest after giving up 4 goals in each of the last two outings he’s had. This is a homecoming of sorts for Lindgren as he played the Blues last season. Lindgren has looked solid in the couple outings he’s had putting together a 2-1-0 record.

The Caps power play has gone ice cold and needs to get back on track. The power play hasn’t scored a goal since its 4 goal showing against Edmonton. The coaching staff is switching players around from power play unit 2 to the first unit and vice versa, in hopes of finding a winning combination.
