Ravens report card week 9: the offense
Quarterback: Joe Flaccco started off on fire leading the Ravens to two touchdowns and a 14-point lead. Flacco struggled when the offense went to crap for most of the game. Flacco led the Ravens on a game winning drive that was capped with a Torrey Smith touchdown. Grade B
Running backs: Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce both had solid games and both contributed a touchdown in the first quarter. Pierce ran strong and scored his first career touchdown. Rice had a total of 98 yards but needed to be used in the passing game more often. The Ravens ran into brick walls a few times where the Rice or Pierce did not have a chance. Grade B
Receivers: Anquan Boldin was the Ravens best receiver with five catches for 57 yards. The Ravens need more consistency and to capitalize on the talent of this group. Torrey Smith was the only other wide receiver with a reception. Dennis Pitta and Ed Dickson each had two receptions. Grade C
Offensive line: The offense line only allowed one sack but had trouble opening up holes on runs straight up the middle. All the successful runs were on misdirections and pitches. This unit still needs to improve for the Ravens to be at their best. Grade C
