Ravens report card versus Chargers: the offense
Quarterback: The Ravens offense moved the ball their first couple of drives but failed to score for most of the game. Joe Flacco went through some rough times in the game but did not turn the ball over and gave his team a chance to win. Flacco led the Ravens on the comeback drive and helped win it in overtime with key 3rd and 4th down conversions. Stats do not say everything, solid performance. Flacco showed once again that he is more comfortable in the hurry up. Flacco threw for 355 yards, most of the yardage coming in the second half. Flacco also spread the ball around well. Grade B
Running backs: Ray Rice’s 4th and 29 reception and run after the catch was the story of the game and the play of the game. Rice and Bernard Pierce ran the ball well when they had wholes. On some runs the Ravens did not have a chance. Rice finished the game with 97 yards rushing. Grade B+
Receivers: Torrey Smith had another fantastic game with seven catches for 144 yards, the most impressive catch was in overtime. Almost every receiver had a catch including Tandon Doss. Jacoby Jones had five receptions for 50 yards and Anquan Boldin had two catches for 42 yards. Dennis Pitta was also a key receiver with six catches for 42 yards. Grade B+
Offensive Line: This unit continues to play poorly on the road. Failing to open up big wholes and allowing Flacco to get hit too often. They allowed five sacks which is terrible. They need to improve. Later in the game they seemed to have things figured out. Grade D
