Ravens halftime report 9/7/2014
The Baltimore Ravens trail the Cincinncati Bengals 15 to 0 at halftime. It has been a frustrating first half of the season for the Ravens’ offense as they have been unable to get anything going. The Ravens best drive was right before the end of the second quarter but they were unable to get any points due to the clock running out. Poor clock management has hurt the team.
Defensively the Ravens have bent but not broken. They have held strong and kept the Bengals to only field goals and have yet to allow a touchdown, despite several long drives by the Bengals.
The receivers have let Joe Flacco down. Steve Smith, Sr. and Jacoby Jones have both dropped big passes (Jones having the worst drop on a deep pass that went right through his hands). Flacco only has a 52.4 quarterback rating. The Ravens need to get Marlon Brown involved with the offense more.
Fortunately, the Ravens are healthy with no injuries as of yet.
The Ravens start the second half with the ball so they can turn things around quickly.
