Alex Ovechkin climbs to third on all-time NHL goals list
Washington Capital Captain Alex Ovechkin scored his 767 career goal last night during a 4 to 3 shootout win against the New York Islanders. Ovechkin passed former Capital Jaromir Jagr who sent a congratulations video to Ovechkin.
The Capitals and their fans have been treated to a ton of mile stones from Ovechkin and more will likely come. Hopes are that he passes Mr. Hockey Gordie Howe next season to sit at number two on the all-time goals list.
With passing Jagr Ovechkin became the highest scoring European born player.
