The Baltimore Ravens have some news of notes for today. Eugene Monroe had minor knee surgery and will be out several weeks, rookie James Hurst will start at left tackle for the Ravens while Monroe recovers. Monroe is a big loss for the Ravens but Hurst has impressed for the Ravens.
Hurst is an undrafted rookie and will surely be tested in the coming weeks. Having a fresh body on the offensive line may do the Ravens well. Monroe was playing well before the knee injury.
The Ravens have also released Deonte Thompson and signed defensive end Lawrence Guy who was cut by the San Diego Chargers this week. Thompson has been signed and cut a few times the past couple of weeks.
