  The Washington Capitals announced they signed 2014 first round draft pick, Jakub Vrana to a three-year entry-level contract today. Per Capgeek, Vrana’s three-year ELC is worth $2,775,000. He’ll make $832,500 at the NHL level or $70,000 at the AHL level. The 18 year old was drafted 13th overall by the Capitals in the NHL …

Capitals re-sign Schmidt

The Washington Capitals have re-signed Name Schmidt to a one-year,  two-way contract.  Schmidt will add depth to the Capitals defense.  Schmidt has some NHL experience despite being only 22 years old.  Schmidt played in 29 games for the Capitals last season scoring two goals.  Here is the Capitals press release.
