Nationals lose to Cardinals 3-2,

The Washington Nationals lost to the St. Louis Cardinals on Tuesday evening in regular season action. The Nats’ record currently stands at 12-16. The Cardinals move to 19-10.

Anibal Sanchez pitched a very strong five innings for Washington. Sanchez allowed 5 hits and 7 strikeouts while pitching. Dan Jennings a relief pitcher struggled pitching allowing 1 hit and 1 strikeout.

Offensively the long ball ruled for Washington. At the bottom of the third inning, right fielder Adam Eaton hit a home run to the right. Also, at the bottom of the third inning, center fielder Victor Robles homered to the center.

Tonight the Nationals will play game three of the series at Nationals Park. Pitching for the Nationals will be Max Scherzer.
