D.C. United wins Capital Cup
For the second year in a row, D.C. United took home the Capital Cup at Audi Field. The opener took place on June 1 which resulted in a 1-1 draw with the goal coming from Sami Guediri. That came against Aguila. Guediri’s strike came from downtown.
D.C. United would complete the Capital Cup quest clinching it on Tuesday June 7 against Xelaju MC.
There was no news article recapping the Capital Cup anywhere which is a disappointment considering soccer is growing around the area.
