Stevenson Football had a tough end to last season as they went 9-2, won there conference, but lost in the first round of the national playoffs. Losing guys like Austin Tennessee, who had a stint with the Minnesota Vikings in training camp, can be pretty detrimental to a defense. They not only lost Tennesse but safety Billy Lewis, and corner Jimmy Lauer. All three playmakers on a very dominate defense. As one may think there secondary got weaker, they added young guns to the roster to add speed and athleticism. Throughout this upcoming season Stevenson’s secondary will only improve. College Football Playoff Rankings Rundown

The College Football Playoff Rankings are out, and while the top three positions remain the same, there were some changes in the fourth and fifth spots. Alabama and Oregon remained No. 1 and No. 2, respectively. FSU moved to No.3, but the battle for the No.4 spot still pretty much alive. Terps fined $10k, NCAA fails again

Maryland_terrapins_logoThe University of Maryland was fined $10,000 by the Big Ten Conference for their captains’ refusal to shake hands with the captains of Penn State before Saturday’s football game. Head coach Randy Edsall was specifically reprimanded and wide receiver Stefon Diggs received a one game suspension for improper behavior which included striking a referee in the face. Navy falls just short in clash with Notre Dame

It is no secret that I greatly admire the Naval Academy. Less known is the fact that over the last decade I lost any shred of respect I may have had for the University of Notre Dame. So, perhaps my pregame hopes of a Navy victory were fueled more by my heart than my head. But the heart of the Navy football players nearly turned that hope into a reality.
