Washington Wizards Get Gored By The Milwaukee Bucks 104-95
Okay, so it wasn’t quite a goring but high turnovers from the Wizards and Giannis absolutely feasting on the boards made it seem like it.
Washington Wizards: Wall: 27p, 4r, 9a, 3stl, 2b; Beal: 19pts, 3r, 3a, 1n; Oubre: 19pts, 5r, 1b.
Milwaukee Bucks: Giannis: 27pts, 20r, 6a, 2b; Bledsoe: 23pts, 4r, 3a, 4stl, Middleton: 19pts, 6r, 4a, 3stl, 1b.
Notables:
Wall showed up as his usual stellar self putting up 27 points, Beal chipped in with 19 points but was held scoreless in the 4th. Oubre was a nice surprise bringing 19 points and a lot of energy off the bench; I like him. Satoransky had a nice alley oop in the 2nd. He seems to be playing more minutes which I think is good overall. Coaches get into a 7-9 man rotation and the other players often get overlooked, or coaches get stuck in a player rut. I get the whole ‘stay ready'(unless you’re born ready like Lance) but if a guy never plays, when a key man goes down during playoffs, the team is in for a rude awakening.
2p.m. holiday Monday games are awkward, everyone is lethargic, but the Bucks came to eat. And eat Giannis did. Holy schmoley. He had 27 points and 20 rebounds. I thought I could hear faint MVP chants, but that may have been me whispering to the computer under my breath. He had a nice between the legs pass to Middleton, who also rounded out the Bucks stats leaders along with Bledsoe. The Bucks continue to look good and they are serious playoff contenders, I don’t think that’s in question.
Next Up: The Hornets Wednesday in Charlotte at 7p.m. EST.
