Orioles finishing spring training with 17-12 record

The Baltimore Orioles spring training has officially ended.  The Orioles finished spring training with a 17 and 12 winning record.  The Orioles beat the Philadelphia Phillies today six to five in the final spring training game.

The next stop for the Orioles will be Norfolk where they will play their Triple-A team the Norfolk Tides.  Spring Training is hard to tell how a team will do in the regular season.

The Orioles got off to a bad start in spring training. Spring training is a time for teams to have tryouts for their roster and get looks at some young talent.  The Orioles recently signed Alex Cobb who never even played in spring training and will be an impact player.

Chance Sisco was a big stand out hitting .429 and made the Orioles roster as the backup catcher. Anthony Santander was another big standout the left fielder hit .292.

Pedro Alvarez was a bit of a disappointment the left handed power bat only hit .208. The Orioles are close to finializing their 25-man roster.

Hopefully the Orioles finish the regular season with a winning record just like they did with spring training.
