First day of training camp

The Baltimore Ravens had their first morning practice and I got to watch with the other members of the media on the sidelines. Linebacker Brendon Ayanbadejo, offensive tackle Oniel Cousins, cornerbacks Fabian Washington, and Walt Harris are the notable players that watched the practice.

I did not see Safety Ed Reed at the practice but I did see him in the lunch room and introduced myself I told him that he was one of my childhood heroes and thanked him for everything he has done for Baltimore.

The big news that came out of practice today was that rookie defensive tackle Terrence Cody was not practicing because he failed his conditioning test. Harris also failed a test.

Quarterbacks Joe Flacco and Marc Bulger looked great in practice today, throwing nice crisp passes. Quarterback Troy Smith looked bad today in practice, he could be the guy that is cut, he over threw and under threw some of his targets.

Most of the passes were short dump offs, I did not see anything over 30 yards.

By the way I got to ask the last question of Flacco’s press conference you guys can check it out on the Ravens website at around the 10:15 mark.
