Day two of Ravens training camp

Dennis Pitta

Dennis Pitta during tight end drills

The Baltimore Ravens had their second day of practices today, it was more like a walk-through than a practice.

The big news of the day was that defensive tackle Terrence Cody passed his conditioning test, something that even had Head Coach John Harbaugh surprised.

Two guys that stuck out today were tight end Dennis Pitta and wide receiver David Reed I was lucky enough to interview both of them. The interviews might be put on the WBAL webpage so I will not post them today but will provide a link for later.

Pitta was the first player that I have got to interview and I have to say he might be the nicest that I have met thus far. I had time issues because I had to get the press conference sound and Pitta waited until I could borrow Stash’s recorder since mine was plugged in recording the press conferences. Other media guys interviewed him while I waited. I talked to Pitta three other times during the day, great guy.

Reed the other guy I interviewed was also easy to talk to, he was quick to say how much he enjoyed playing with quarterback Joe Flacco. He made some outstanding catches today, all the media was talking about him on the sidelines.

I was happy to introduce myself to Coach Harbaugh and wide receiver Mark Clayton today they were both very friendly. Clayton is a talkative guy he spent a good while in the lobby after I talked to him before one of him meetings.

Another note, I got to talk to rookie long snapper Morgan Cox today, he was very well spoken and is happy to be on the Ravens.
