Frederick Community College Scholar-Athletes Earn NJCAA All-Academic Honors
Nineteen Frederick Community College scholar-athletes received NJCAA All-Academic honors after posting an overall GPA of 3.60 or higher during the 2025-26 academic year.
Frederick Community College Athletics is home to the FCC Cougars, one of Maryland’s competitive junior college athletic programs. Based in Frederick, Maryland, the Cougars compete as members of the Maryland Junior College Athletic Conference (MD JUCO) and NJCAA Region 20, giving FCC student-athletes the opportunity to compete for conference, regional and national recognition.
Frederick Community College currently sponsors men’s baseball, basketball and soccer, along with women’s basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball. The Cougars regularly compete against community college programs throughout Maryland and the Mid-Atlantic while providing athletes a pathway to continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year colleges.
Baseball has become one of the flagship programs at Frederick Community College. The Cougars finished the 2026 season with a 37-15 record and captured the NJCAA Division II Region 20 championship, defeating Garrett College 9-3 to earn another trip to the NJCAA World Series. It marked the program’s 11th Region 20 championship, continuing FCC baseball’s long history of regional and national-level success.
The athletic department also emphasizes achievement away from competition. In 2025-26, 19 Frederick Community College student-athletes earned NJCAA academic recognition, highlighting the program’s commitment to developing successful students as well as athletes.
