Goal scoring for the Capitals previous game: Tom Wilson, Tyler Lewington and Madison Bowey. Lewington and Bowey each recorded their first NHL goals.
This is the first of two games between the teams this season, as the second meeting will be in two weeks on January 15th. The Caps are coming off a 3-2 win in Ottawa with Phoenix Copley between the pipes. That was Copley’s second straight victory in Ottawa. Today the Caps will get their top net minder Braden Holtby between the red pipes to end a strong 2018 performance.
