Capitals Fall to Bruins Again, Down 3-1 in Series
This game between Washington and Boston was a lot different than the previous three. Coming into the game, no team had held a lead bigger than one goal. That changed quickly into the third, and the Bruins didn’t look back.
The Capitals simply looked slow and outmatched throughout the entire game. Halfway through the game, the Capitals were sitting on just five shots. They went 1-7 on the power play. Their only goal was provided by Alex Ovechkin down 3-0 in the third. The Capitals lost 4-1 and were outshot 37-20.
Putting it simply, the Capitals did not deserve to win this game and it showed. Now, they must quickly shift their focus to Sunday when they host game five. They will be fighting for their playoff lives for the remainder of the series. We will see how they respond.
